Chess Drop In Class
Every second Saturday of the month from 11am to noon.
Come join local chess aficionado Rodrigo Silveira for a fun and informal chess class, 11am – noon, on the second Saturday of each month. This class drop in is open to ages 18 and under, parents are welcome. Open to all levels from beginner to advanced, all you need to bring is an interest in chess!

Make It @ The Library
11AM on the 2nd Friday of each month during the school year.
A maker program for ages 10 and up at the Priest River Library is held at 11AM on the 2nd Friday of each month during the school year. Recent projects have focused on functional art including leather working, para cord bracelets and glass painting. Future Make It projects will include art, cooking, STEM.

Each Monday from 3-4:30 in Priest River and Blanchard

Blanchard’s Story Time is on Wednesdays a 11:30 and Priest River’s Story Time is on Thursdays at 10:30.
Preschoolers and Home schoolers can enjoy stories, rhymes and activities once a week at each library. Blanchard’s Story Time is on Wednesdays a 11:30 and Priest River’s Story Time is on Thursdays at 10:30.

The Six (6) Early Literacy Skills: Join in the fun of Story Time while we work on the six skills of Early Literacy: Letter Knowledge, Vocabulary, Print Awareness, Print Motivation, Narrative Skills, Phonological Awareness. These skills will help your child become ready to read. Birth to preschool is the time to introduce your child to the world of books and reading. These skills will add to the success of your child’s early learning years.
